- Why work with an Investment Advisor?
A – Advisors are unique, they offer a range of experiences, services and solutions to help your investments grow. We share a commitment to flexible thinking, dedication and discipline to serve you the best way we can.
- What kind of fees do you charge?
A – Fees are negotiable depending on your needs and the complexity of the portfolio. Do not be fooled when someone says they will not be charging fees. Fees are still incurred but they are embedded such as in mutual funds and not directly incurred. Happy to explain in more detail.
- Will my investments be locked in?
A – We offer full liquidity. If funds are required, we can liquidate the investments and on settlement [usually 2-3 days] the funds will be wired to your bank account at no charge from our end.
- How often do you meet with clients?
A – Depending on your needs we can decide on how often you wish to meet.
- Do you do Wills & POA’s
A – We can advise on the planning stage which you can then take to the lawyer for putting it together and finalizing. We do not do the Wills and Power of Attorneys; however, we work with many lawyers and would refer you to them.
- Do you hold investment seminars?
A – Yes, keep checking the website for upcoming events.
- Do you have any non-fee accounts?
A – Yes, usually mutual funds, GIC’s and Bonds only accounts. However, for mutual fund accounts the fees are embedded within the fund and they pay a trailer to the dealer.
- Do you have a minimum account requirement?
A – While we don’t have a minimum account requirement, we would still meet the prospective client to see if there is a good fit.
- How do I transfer my account[s] to you?
A – We take care of everything for you after our initial meeting[s] once you have decided to do business with me. The process is quite simple once all the forms have been signed and can take anywhere from 5-15 business days depending on the relinquishing institution.
